Police received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today:

June 9

At 12:42 a.m. a bear was reported at 2008 Cascade Creek Road.

A citizen contact report was logged at 11:09 a.m. on Molly Lane.

Fish & Wildlife reported a citizen assist call.

Traffic stops were logged at 10:18 p.m. at 4000 HPR, and at 10:49 p.m. at 600 SMC.

At 11:13 p.m. a citizen assist  call was logged at a downtown store.

June 10

At 2:41 a.m. an animal problem was reported at a downtown bar.

At 3:05 a.m. a bear was reported at 101 Harbor Mountain Road.

Sitka Police

Gail Evalgelstomp, 60, was charged Tuesday afternoon with driving under the influence.

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls atg 8:37 a.m., 8:47 a.m.,  9:22 a.m. and 4:04 p.m. Tuesday.
