Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.

June 9

A man told police he was having issues of paranoia, and would call back if he needed help.

At 8:06 a.m. a woman reported debris had again been left in the women’s restroom at Crescent Harbor.

A driver’s license found at the transfer station was returned to the owner. Public Works was notified.

At 1:37 p.m. a caller reported a car window was smashed in the 2800 block of HPR. Police opened an investigation.

At 2:35 p.m. the animal control officer reported retrieving a deceased bird in the 500 block of Lincoln Street. The kind of bird was not given.

A wallet was reported lost at 3:31 p.m., but a short time laster was reported found.

At 5:15 p.m. a caller reported  her dog had gone on a walkabout in the 2800 block of HPR. The animal control officer was notified.

At 8:22 p.m. a caller in the 400 block of Marine Street complained about a barking dog. Police left a message with the dog’s owner, who said she would take care of it.

A charge of violating conditions of release is to be forwarded to the DA.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received three ambulance calls Thursday.

August Bickar, 23, was arrested early this morning on a charge of driving under the influence.
