Administrator Firing

Dear Editor: I am in no position to assess Mr. Brady’s professional performance over the last two years, and recognize that he served at the pleasure of the Assembly.

That said, there is this: Mr. Brady was awarded an ‘‘Unsatisfactory’’ performance evaluation by the Assembly in April of this year. Fine. He was then presented with a 90-day probationary period in which to correct deficiencies ostensibly identified by the Assembly. Well and good. But then, fewer than 60 days into his reassessment, four members of the Assembly unilaterally dishonored the arrangement. I was raised to believe a deal ought to be a deal, and Mr. Brady’s premature dismissal was nothing other than bad faith dealing, leaving aside unprofessionalism.

In conclusion, should anybody want to shove a recall petition in my face for any of the four members voting for this miscarriage, I’ll sign it. With a flourish.
