Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today.

June 15

Parking problems were reported at 800 Lake Street at 10:34 a.m.; on Etolin Way at 10:56 a.m.; at the Castle Hill parking area at 10:58 a.m.; at Crescent Harbor at 11:10 a.m.; at Centennial Hall at 11:39 a.m.; and on Lance Drive at 10:38 p.m.

A traffic complaint on Andrew P. Hope Street was filed at 11:45 a.m.

At 3:09 p.m. a caller said a black, brown and white terrier was off leash at lower Moller field. The dog and its owner were gone when police arrived.

At 3:14 p.m. a large white dog was reported running at large near Sea Mart. Officers were unable to locate it.

At 3:15 p.m. a caller reported a deer appeared injured at Sitka National Cemetery. It was gone when officers arrived,.

Security checks were made at two downtown bars around 11:30 p.m.

Richard Sam Jr., 39, was charged Tuesday with violating conditions of release.

 

Emergency  Calls

Sitka Fire Department received an ambulance call at 7:58 a.m. today.

An engine was sent to 404 Lake Street at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday after burned toast set off an alarm.

At 11:59 p.m. Tuesday an alarm sounded at 404 Lake Street.
