Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today.
June 23
Parking problems were reported at the Castle Hill parking lot at 9:50 a.m. and in the 200 block of Lincoln Street at 9:57 a.m.
At 10:38 a.m. Sitka Police received a person from Haines to serve a sentence here.
A parking problem arose at Sandy Beach at 10:53 a.m.
A traffic hazard was reported at HPR and Kuhnle Drive.
At 12:49 p.m. a disturbance was reported at SMC and Jeff Davis Street.
At 7:38 p.m. a traffic complaint came in from Lake Street and HPR.
At 8:47 p.m. a domestic problem was reported on Andrews Street.
June 24
At 4:39 a.m. a transformer fire was reported at Verstovia Avenue and Monastery Street. The city electric department was notified.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 5:08 p.m., 5:25 p.m. and 5:28 p.m. Wednesday and 1:14 a.m. today.
Power Outage
A transformer fire reported at 5:41 a.m. today caused an electrical outage in the Verstovia and Monastery Street area. City Electric Department line crews replaced the insulator, restoring power by 7:15 a.m.
