Police received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today:

June 24

At 12:35 a.m. fireworks were reported in the 1700 block of HPR.

Suspicious activity was reported on Andrew P. Hope Street at 3:37 a.m.

An animal problem was reported at HPR and Spruce Street.

A theft was reported at Sealing Cove.

A crash resulting in property damage was reported at the transfer station at 10:48 a.m.

An animal problem was reported at 3209 HPR.

A theft was reported at a SMC restaurant.

At 8:35 p.m. suspicious activity was reported on Anna Circle.

At 11:46 p.m. suspicious activity at Eliason Harbor was reported.

June 25

At 12:36 a.m. a caller reported a bear in the area of Naomi Kanosh Lane.

An assault was reported on Anna Drive at 4:11 a.m.

At 4:55 a.m. and 5:05 a.m. police logged reports of drunkenness.

 

Sitka Police

Daniel G. Smith, 38, was cited for driving with a revoked license.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 10:54 a.m., 3:24 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8:24 p.m. Wednesday, and 1:18 a.m. today.
