Chamber Golf Tourney
Dear Editor: The Greater Sitka Chamber of Commerce owes a huge thank you to all of the businesses and individuals who helped to make the 9th Annual Sitka Chamber Golf Tournament such a great success. The tournament was attended by 51 players who formed 13 teams, which made it a record-breaking event in both attendance and fun this year!
Our scorecard sponsor was Sea Mart Quality Foods, and this year the carts were sponsored by AC Lakeside and Alps Federal Credit Union. New to the course was the BIBCO beer cart sponsored by Baranof Island Brewing Company. Thank you!
In addition to these sponsors, we also had six hole and contest sponsors this year. The following businesses, Alaska Communications, Alaska Seaplanes, Allen Marine, Totem Square Hotel and Marina, Westmark Sitka and Williams Kastner and Gibbs, PLLC, also need recognition for their incredibly generous contributions and a huge thank you as well.
Our lunch this year, skillfully prepared by Chef Larry, was smoked BBQ ribs with all the fixings. Many sponsors also donated prizes and fun items for our golfer goodie bags, adding much excitement to the event! We would like to extend a special thank you to Alaska Seaplanes, Alps Federal Credit Union, Allstate Insurance, Balanced Accounting Solutions, First National Bank Alaska, Mountain Miss, Sea View Bed & Breakfast, Sitka Bottling Company, Westmark Sitka and Williams Kastner. JI Design and Photography took photos throughout the tournament. Thank you, all, for your generous contributions!
Last, but definitely not least, we couldn’t have done it without the hard work of the Sea Mountain Golf Course committee and staff or the Sitka Chamber of Commerce Board, golf committee and staff, who worked tirelessly to organize yet another tremendously successful Sitka Chamber event.
And finally, the Sitka Chamber Board of Directors and I would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who attended this year’s golf tournament, contributed to the fun, and so generously supported their local chamber.
