Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today.

June 3

At 12:39 a.m. a parking problem at Eliason Harbor was reported.

At 4:57 a.m. a vehicle was reported stolen in the 2800 block of SMC. Police are investigating.

At 7:52 a.m. a home was reported possibly broken into,in the 2800 block of SMC.

At 8:23 a.m. two windows were reported broken and siding damaged on a vacant lot on Andrew P. Hope Street. Juveniles with BB guns were reported in the area.

At 12:42 p.m. an ambulance reported a disabled vehicle on the O’Connell Bridge. It was removed.

At 1:12 p.m. an assault was reported at the skate park, where a woman was reported yelling at kids.

Police received two reports of fraud and one of a theft.

A caller said people might be sleeping in containers at Granite Creek. Officers found they were not.

At 9:28 p.m. a welfare check was requested in the 2800 block of SMC.

June 4

At 1:46 a.m. a caller on Etolin Way reported hearing noises and finding a gate open.

 

Sitka Police

Cedar M. Mayo, 31, was charged Thursday morning with vehicle theft in the first degree, violating conditions of release and driving with a suspended license.

Amy M. Stonebreaker, 30, was charged Thursday afternoon with interfering with an arrest, and Vivian J. Wright, 27, was charged with assault in the fourth degree, on a police officer. They were released on their own recognizance.

Sitka Fire Department received four ambulance calls Thursday.
