Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today.
June 4
A civil dispute was reported on Etolin Street at 12:15 p.m., and suspicious activity at 10:41 p.m.
At 8 p.m. an aggressive bulldog was reported to have gotten out of the back of a truck on American Street and wouldn’t let residents enter their home. The dog’s owner retrieved it.
At 11:08 p.m. a family fight was reported in the 2800 block of HPR.
A report of elder abuse is under investigation.
June 5
At 8:05 a.m. a welfare check was requested in the 1700 block of Edgecumbe Drive.
At 1:31 p.m. a yellow Lab was reported running at large. Offers were unable to make contact.
At 3:29 p.m. a driver was reported to have gone into ditches on Andrew P. Hope Street before stopping near mailboxes. The driver was found to have had medical issues. Some damage was done to the car.
Civil disputes were reported at Crescent Harbor at 5:14 p.m., and on Anna Drive at 5;42 p.m.
At 8:37 p.m. the driver of a van was reported speeding on the Nelson Logging Road.
At 11:05 p.m. a bear was reported at the Raptor Center.
June 6
At 4:20 a.m. citizen contact was made at Sandy Beach.
At 11:27 a.m. an incident of drunkenness was reported in the 700 block of SMC.
The theft of items including chain saws was reported on Lance Drive.
At 5 p.m. witnesses said the driver of a truck struck the fence of a store in the 400 block of Lincoln Street, causing damage.
At 8:17 p.m. a welfare check was made on Hollywood Way
Sitka Police
Christopher Stockton, 31, was charged Saturday with assault in the fourth degree, on a police officer; resisting arrest; and violating conditions of release.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received 12 ambulance calls Friday, two Saturday and five Sunday.
