The following calls were logged as of 8 a.m. today.
June 6
At 12:01 p.m. a caller complained of loud music at a business on Katlian Street. Police advised the business of the complaint.
At 2:10 p.m. a pedestrian was reported nearly struck by a vehicle at Lake and Lincoln streets.
At 10:09 p.m. a caller said a driver was being reckless at Jarvis Street and SMC. It was gone when police checked.
At 10:43 p.m. a caller said an intoxicated man was yelling at the Russian fort. He left and police spoke to two men who were following.
Sitka Police
Nichole Dozier, 42, was charged Tuesday with driving under the influence.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received three ambulance calls Tuesday.
Coast Guard
A Coast Guard Air Station Sitka helicopter medevacked a 64-year-old woman from Skagway to Sitka this morning. The woman, a passenger on the cruise ship Noordam, was picked up at the Skagway airport, the Coast Guard said. The first call came in at 8:31 a.m., and the helicopter launched at 10:05 a.m.
On another Coast Guard medevac call, a 60-year-old man with sepsis symptoms was hoisted off the Norwegian Jewel in the Yakutat area, and flown to Juneau for care. The first call came in at 8:47 p.m. and the helicopter took off from Juneau at 9:15 p.m. to pick up the patient.
