Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.

June 8

At 12:10 a.m. a man on Burkhart Drive said he thought someone was trying to break into his home. Officers checked the area, and advised the man to keep doors and windows locked.

A caller reported a colorful jacket had been left on a bench at Swan Lake for some two weeks.

A driver said he had hit another vehicle but hadn’t seen any damage, and wanted to be called if someone had reported damage.

A caller complained people were feeding pigeons often on Biorka Street.

At 5:24 p.m. a caller said a bus had broken down at Seward and Lake streets. Police had already taken steps to get the bus safely moved.

At 5:26 p.m. a cruise ship notified police that two passengers had not yet returned to the boat. However, the ship reported a half hour later that the two had been located at the airport.

At 10:14 p.m. a woman asked to speak with an officer about being stalked.

At 11:21 p.m. a man who had been out looking for his bike Monday night on Lance Drive reported he had found the bike, with a juvenile on it, at Eagle Beach. The bike was returned to him.

June 9

A man told police he was having issues of paranoia, and would call back if he needed help.
