Services have been scheduled for June Gwendolyn Estrada, 78, a longtime Sitka resident who died Feb. 22 at Sitka Community Hospital.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 29, at Grace Harbor Church, with burial at Sitka National Cemetery. A luncheon will be at noon at Grace Harbor Church.
On Sunday, Feb. 28, a viewing will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at Prewitt Funeral Home.

June was born Dec. 28, 1937, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Geneva (Webster) and Roy W. Landeck.
She graduated from Vancouver High School in Vancouver, Wash. She arrived in Sitka on Dec. 19, 1969, and married Feliverto Estrada on Jan. 2, 1970.
She was a cook in the Sitka school system, and at SEARHC-Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital and Sitka Community Hospital.
Along with cooking, she enjoyed good Gospel music, cross-stitching and sewing. She also loved red velvet cake, and liked to share her baking skills.
Another of her favorites were the poodles she had. They loved her, and they brought her much joy.
She was a member of Grace Harbor Church, and a supporter of Sitka Young Life.
June was preceded in death by her parents, Geneva and Roy Landeck; two brothers, William and Don Landeck; and two sisters, Roberta May and Pat Clough, who had lived in Sitka.
Surviving are her husband, Feliverto C. Estrada of Sitka; sons Calvin R. Taylor of Vancouver, Wash., Phillip D. Taylor (Kim) of Redmond, Ore., and John W. Taylor (Sheila) of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren Darryl J. Taylor (Mariah) of Grand Prairie, Texas, Douglas A. Taylor (Victoria) of Redmond, Katie Langdon (Jerid) of Redmond, Dalton C. Taylor of Las Vegas and Jackson C. Taylor of Las Vegas.
Her great-grandchildren are Darryl Taylor, Wesley Langdon and Abigail Ann, all of Redmond. Her niece is Roxanne Yancy of Alabama; and her nephew is Doug Henie of Anchorage.
Pallbearers at Monday’s service will be Bud Rauscher, Ed Ludlow, Russ Seither, Al Aitken, Don Byrd and Dirk White.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Darryl Taylor, Douglas Taylor, Katie Langdon, Dalton Taylor and Jackson Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sitka Young life.
