The Mt. Edgecumbe Lady Braves basketball squad fell for the second time to Juneau-Douglas High Thursday night at Mt. Edgecumbe. Juneau took the win 55-46.
Juneau held a formidable lead at the half, 35-24 and stretched their lead even more in the third quarter.
But in the fourth, the Lady Braves turned up the heat, shrinking the Crimson Bears’ lead by scoring 18 points to Juneau’s 7. Edgecumbe’s Laci Prince, Lisa Strom, Charlee Korthius, and Carliese O’Brien led the charge, though it was not enough to undo Juneau’s lead.
This weekend, the Juneau squad moves on to face the Lady Wolves at Sitka High, today and Saturday. The schedule is below.
