Edgecumbe toppled Monroe Catholic 40-35 Thursday afternoon at the Alaska Airlines Center in Anchorage to earn a chance at the state title.
Edgecumbe’s boys, however, fell 50-33 against Grace Christian Thursday evening and will play their Eastern Conference rivals, the Houston Hawks, Saturday morning to vie for third place. Houston narrowly beat MEHS earlier this month in overtime to secure the conference title.
