Light Show
Dear Editor: This is a very hearty and heartfelt thank you to the Sentinel for its coverage of Sunday night’s Northern Lights Event.
Thanks to reporter Garland Kennedy for his excellent, detailed, and very informative article; and thanks to Photo Editor James Poulson for his spectacular photograph.
I saw nothing even remotely close to this from here on my boat in Eliason Harbor, but what I saw blew me away completely. I can only imagine what it was like for folks all over Sitka with a view like the one Mr. Poulson provided.
Is there any chance Mr Poulson could share – in the paper and online – some of the other images he captured that nite? That would be a real treat for everybody, for sure.
And from the sound of Mr. Kennedy’s article, there may be quite a few more shows like this over the next couple of years as the sun moves into the active phase of its cycle. Wow, eh?
