Police Blotter
Police received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today:
March 11
Police checked on reports of parking problems at 3 a.m. at the airport and 2:20 p.m. in the 200 block of Lincoln Street.
Police performed traffic stops at 8:06 a.m. on Edgecumbe Drive and 5:20 p.m. at HPR and Peterson, and took a complaint about traffic in the 1300 block of SMC.
Police helped in the serving of papers at 11:54 a.m., 12:02 p.m. and 4:51 p.m.
An abandoned vehicle was reported on Price Street.
A civil dispute was reported at 3:29 p.m. on Airport Road.
Police followed up on matters at the library at 4:12 p.m. and Eliason Harbor at 4:27 p.m.
Police performed a citizen assist at the library at 8:04 p.m.
An assault was reported in the 1900 block of HPR, and an arrest was made.
March 12
At 2:03 a.m. police responded to a traffic complaint in the 200 block of Lincoln Street.
Sitka Police
Linda Ozawa, 47, was arrested Wednesday night on a charge of assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 12:54 p.m., 6:11 p.m., 10:20 p.m. and 11:10 p.m. Wednesday, and 7:18 a.m. today.
At 6:06 p.m. Wednesday a fire truck was sent to Blatchley Middle School after an alarm malfunctioned.
