Police Blotter
Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.
March 11
Two vehicles parked after 5 a.m. on Lincoln Street and one on Katlian were cited for violating a no-parking ordinance.
At 11:23 a.m. police and fire departments accompanied a funeral procession from the ANB Founders Hall to St. Michael’s Cathedral.
At 2:23 p.m. a vehicle parked at Eliason Harbor was found to have a broken mirror. The vehicle owner was to be contacted.
At 3 p.m. a dispute between a resident and a mail company was logged. Police advised the parties involved on their options.
A driver parked across the street from the police station was helped to get her car started.
At 5:41 p.m. a man reported someone had cut holes in his backpack near the
Gavan Hill trailhead. He later reported that the light on the backpack had been left on and the battery was dead.
At 9:56 p.m. officers reminded a man that he had been trespassed from a company’s properties.
March 12
At 2:27 a.m. a caller complained sex noises from an upstairs apartment had again awakened them.
At 8:54 p.m. the airport reported that an intoxicated man had grown angry over not being allowed to fly and was causing a disturbance. Officers found he was able to care for himself and took him to the Crescent Harbor parking lot.
March 13
A Visa card was turned in to police and the owner was contacted.
Footage was reported of a man crossing the airport runway. A case has been opened.
At 8:52 p.m. a caller reported someone had pounded on  her front door so hard magnets had fallen off the wall. Possible suspects were named.

Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received two ambulance calls Friday, five on Saturday, two on Sunday and, as of 9 a.m. three today.

Indicted
Brandon D. Ledbetter, 39, was indicted March 10 on a charge of assault in the second degree, a class B felony; and two counts of assault in the third degree, a class C felony. He is accused of causing physical injury by means of a knife on March 4. A hearing was set March 15 in Superior Court in Sitka.
