The following calls were recorded as of 8 a.m. today.

March 13

At 12:34 a.m. a caller reported a teenager at a hotel. Police found the juvenile was allowed to be there.

At 2:32 a.m. a person in the National Historical Park was advised the park was closed, and to leave.

At 2:33 a.m.  a man was reported taking a tire off a vehicle on Harbor Way. Police found it was his vehicle.

At 1:20 p.m. a caller said a dog had been tied up outside the library for a couple of hours. An officer checked on the dog and found it appeared OK.

At 3:19 p.m. a caller reported the donation jar at the library had been stolen.

At 6:17 p.m. a caller said a driver appeared intoxicated in the 1300 block of HPR. Police found the driver was not intoxicated, just having difficulties, and a relative was called.

At 6:27 p.m. a vehicle was reported being driven on the wrong side of the road in the 1300 block of HPR. Other issues were found and possible charges may be forwarded.

At 10 p.m. a caller said a very intoxicated man was at the front door of the Public Safety Academy causing a disturbance. The man was taken to the hospital.

 

Sitka Police

James Glenn Thompson, 46, was charged Monday with driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and violating conditions of release.

Sitka Fire Department received one ambulance call Monday.
