Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.
March 14
At 10:18 a.m. a man flagged down a police officer to ask for the Anchorage Police Department phone number.
A man told police he was involved in a fraud. Officers advised him of his options.
At 1:20 p.m. a hit and run was reported on Katlian Street. Police started a case file.
At 2:48 p.m. a man told police he thought he was being bugged at home and on personal items. Officers checked his clothing and found nothing.
A caller asked for a welfare check on a relative who might be suicidal. Officers talked to the relative, who said he was not suicidal.
At 3:42 p.m. a caller reported a possibly intoxicated driver in the 1200 block of SMC. Officers found the driver was distracted, not intoxicated.
At 8:10 p.m. a caller on Etolin Street asked police to document possible trespassing.
At 10:14 p.m. a caller on Monastery Street complained of noisy neighbors. Officers spoke to the neighbors, who said they were moving furniture and would try to be quieter.
