The following calls were recorded as of 8 a.m. today.
March 14
At 7:38 a.m. suspicious activity was reported at the airport. Police opened a case.
A report of sexual abuse of a minor was put under investigation.
At 11:29 a.m. troopers in Bethel asked Sitka police to conduct an interview.
At 6:26 p.m. a caller said a driver had struck his vehicle, parked in the 300 block of Lincoln Street, and witnesses had seen the driver leave. The back of the caller’s vehicle was damaged, and he was given a self-report form.
Sitka Police
Arthur E. Parker III, 37, was arrested Tuesday on two counts of assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence; one count of interfering with a domestic violence report; and one count of escape in the fourth degree.
William D. Stanley, 54, was arrested early this morning on a charge of violating conditions of release set in a January charge of assault in the fourth degree and a November 2022 charge of driving under the influence.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received two ambulance calls Tuesday, and one fire alarm set off by burned toast.
