Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.
March 15
At 7:34 a.m. an excavation company working on a project in the 200 block of Lincoln Street said a parked vehicle was in the way. The vehicle was moved.
A man on HPR said his neighbor’s dog was killing his chickens. Officers talked to the two neighbors.
At 11:25 a.m. a blind dog was reported loose on Katlian Street. An officer scooped it up and took it to the animal shelter, where its owner picked it up.
At 11:35 a.m. a dog was reported running at large on Tongass Drive, but it was gone when officers arrived.
A man reported his wallet had been stolen from a bus. It was turned in later with all the contents except $14 still in it.
At 2:23 p.m. a relative of a couple having an ongoing dispute over a dog was reported to have tried to get the dog. Officers talked to those involved.
A woman reported losing her gold wedding band.
A vehicle damaged in a hit and run was to be checked over.
At 5:21 p.m. a two-vehicle traffic accident was reported at Pherson and Monastery streets. No injuries resulted and the drivers were to handle the situation between themselves.
At 6:29 p.m. a caller on Rudolph Walton Drive reported photographing a bear. Fish and Game and the wildlife troopers were notified.
At 7:55 p.m. a caller said a man who had been harassing her and had been told to stay away from her had shown up at her place of work. Police told him to stay away from the caller, and he was trespassed from her place of work.
   
Sitka Police
Brendan Hoffay, 28, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence.
   
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received two ambulance calls.

In Court
A case filed against Laticha Monique Clark, 30, was dismissed without prejudice Tuesday by the prosecuting attorney.

Coast Guard
A Coast Guard Air Station Sitka helicopter crew medevacked a 63-year-old woman from Haines to Sitka Tuesday morning.   
The call came in at 7 a.m., the helicopter launched at 8:57 a.m., picked up the patient and flew her to Sitka. She was transferred to a Guardian plane for a flight to Anchorage around noon.
