Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.
March 16
At 9:48 a.m. Public Works reported finding vandals had spray painted graffiti on a building at Kimsham ball fields.
At 12:07 p.m. a German shepherd was reported running at large in the 3200 block of HPR. Officers were unable to locate it.
A set of three keys was turned in at the police station.
It was found someone had drilled a hole in the gas tank of a vehicle parked for a couple of weeks at a parking lot on Cathedral Way.
At 4:49 p.m. a fender bender was reported in the 1800 block of HPR. Damage was such that a case was opened.
At 11:37 p.m. an officer found the doors of a vehicle parked at the airport were open. The officer closed them.
March 17
At 2:52 a.m. a woman said she couldn’t find her vehicle, which she’d parked at the airport more than seven days ago. She was advised it might have been towed and to check the impound lot.
   
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received two ambulance calls Wednesday.
