Police Blotter
The following calls were recorded as of 8 a.m. today.
March 16
At 2:38 p.m. a man and a woman were told they were no longer welcome at an association’s offices off Katlian Street.
A caller reported damage done to his vehicle, but officers determined the damage hadn’t been made by an outsider.
At 8:21 p.m. a check on a child’s welfare was requested. Police found the child was OK.
At 11:32 p.m. an intoxicated woman was reported at the recycle center. She was taken to the hospital.

Sitka Fire Department received two ambulance calls Thursday.
In Court
Amivael A. Andino, 29, of Kearney, New Jersey, on a May 5, 2022, charge of disorderly conduct – loud noise disturbing neighbors – was sentenced Wednesday to three days, suspended, and fined $250. On a charge of violating conditions of release on June 11, 2022, he was sentenced to 30 days, suspended, and fined $250. He is to make restitution, and will be on probation for a year. A charge of being drunk on licensed premises was dismissed by the prosecution.
