Correction
The report in Monday’s Sentinel of a troopers’ charge of driving under the influence filed against Connor Nelson was a July 20, 2022, charge, not a new one, and was the result of delayed paperwork.
The Sentinel regrets the misunderstanding.

March 20
At 12:38 a.m. a welfare check was requested on Hollywood Way.
At 4:47 a.m. a security check was made at the airport.
At 1:13 p.m. a person was reported trespassing in the 3400 block of HPR.
At 4:20 p.m. a possible assault was reported in the 300 block of Lake Street. It is under investigation.
At 4:54 p.m. a swan was reported in the roadway near Swan Lake. Police removed it.
A verbal argument was reported going on in the 2300 block of HPR at 10:42 p.m. Police found nothing criminal had occurred.
At 10:56 p.m. a man was reported sleeping on the sidewalk on the O’Connell Bridge. Police talked to him.

Sitka Fire Department received three ambulance calls Monday, and one early today.
