Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.
March 21
At 7:32 police opened an investigation of a sexual assault.
At 9:07 a.m. a caller reported a vehicle had stopped at her home in the 3400 block of HPR, a juvenile had come up to the door then left. Officers found the juvenile had been looking for an address.
At 11:40 a.m. an investigation was opened into a second report of a sexual assault.
At 12:15 p.m. a caller requested a welfare check on a man who hadn’t been heard from in a while. Police located him and found he was able to care for himself.
At 11:49 p.m. a woman said a car tried to hit her as she walked on the O’Connell Bridge.

Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 1:54 p.m. and 10:57 p.m. Monday, and 5:44 a.m. today.
