World TB Day
Dear Editor: Tuberculosis was once thought to be a disease of the past; a significant part of Sitka’s past.  But with 8 million new infections every year, TB - passed simply by a cough or a sneeze - has become the second cause of death from an infectious disease on the planet. 
    PBS Frontline will be broadcasting a documentary on MDR-TB on Tuesday evening, after World TB Day, and the executive director of RESULTS will be participating in an on-line chat with Frontline on March 26. Hope you get a chance to tune in.
