Thank You, AC Lakeside
Dear Editor: Keet Gooshi Heen would like to recognize and thank AC Lakeside for their amazing donations to our community’s children attending KGH.
We would like to give a special shout out to Vince, the general manager, and Mike, in produce.
We are very appreciative for the strawberries and supplies to make chocolate-dipped strawberries as a special treat for Valentine’s Day. Office staff dipped over 300 donated strawberries for our in-person students, and packaged up strawberries for the remote learners.
In addition to the strawberries for Valentine’s Day, AC Lakeside has donated popcorn in November to our classes for an all school event and hot chocolate mix and a generous discount on all the sugar cookies for the schoolwide holiday movie.
We appreciate their generosity they have provided for all students at Keet Gooshi Heen.

Thank You, Subway
Dear Editor: In February of 2020 Subway of Sitka offered to donate hot coffee for participants in Sitka Homeless Coalition’s shower and laundry project. Soon after, the pandemic presented local businesses with the obvious need to curtail any discretionary expenses. Yet Subway has persisted in their consistent support twice a week for over a year. We treasure their big-hearted generosity.
