An incident of drunkenness was reported at a downtown hotel at 2:58 a.m.
At 10:08 a.m. suspicious activity was reported at the Indian River trailhead.
At 10:48 a.m. a welfare check was requested in the 200 block of Lincoln Street.
At 12:31 p.m. citizen contact was made on Erler Street.
At 1:27 p.m. reckless driving was reported on Indian River Road.
At 2:17 p.m. an incident of drunkenness was reported on the Indian River bridge.
A theft was reported on Observatory Street.
At 4:29 p.m. a 7-year-old was reported missing from the community playground in the 800 block of Lincoln Street, his scooter abandoned. Searchers looked for two hours before the boy’s dad found him, downtown.
At 6:24 p.m. a theft was reported on Andrew P. Hope Street.
At 8:19 p.m. a civil dispute was reported in the 2300 block of HPR.
May 8
At 2:56 a.m. a noise complaint was filed from Finn Alley.
At 10:45 a.m. suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of Katlian Street.
At 11:37 a.m. a disturbance was reported in the 100 block of Lake Street.
At 1:21 p.m. a bear was reported on Anna Drive.
A civil dispute was reported in the 1200 block of SMC.
At 3:46 p.m. a welfare check was requested at Camp Coogan.
At 10:25 p.m. a noise complaint was logged in the 1300 block of SMC.
At 11:56 p.m. citizen contact was made in the 200 block of Lake Street.
May 9
At 1:16 a.m. citizen contact was made at Totem Square.
At 3:40 a.m. disorderly contact was reported in the 400 block of Lake Street.
At 7:43 a.m. citizen contact was made in the 3100 block of HPR.
At 9:04 a.m. a caller said a man hadn’t been home as expected for several hours, and his cell phone appeared to be dead. Police found he had fallen asleep, and was fine.
At 11:22 a.m. a civil dispute was reported in the 200 block of Marine Street.
At 12:18 p.m. a mental subject was reported at Totem Park.
At 1:13 p.m. a bear was reported near the Totem Park visitors center.
At 2:21 p.m. citizen contact was made at the Granite Creek quarry.
At 4:07 p.m. a traffic hazard was reported at the roundabout. Police found a person was changing a tire.
At 4:25 p.m. a noise complaint was filed on Toivo Circle.
At 7:14 p.m. fireworks were reported off DeGroff Street.
At 8:25 p.m. a welfare check was requested on Indian River Road.
Sitka Police
Chasady Didrickson, 41, was charged Sunday with driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
David Brady, 22, was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct.
