Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.
May 11
At 12:45 a.m. an officer talked to a driver about having an incorrect license plate. The driver agreed to fix the problem.
At 8:50 a.m. a caller said a cat had been struck by a car at Sandy Beach and was dead. However, when officers arrived they found the cat was not dead, and took it to the animal shelter.
A driver was cited for not reporting a hit and run Tuesday.
The Army National Guard told police a tablet had been misplaced in Sitka, and asked to be notified if it was found.
A woman said a neighbor in an apartment building was harassing her. Officers spoke with her and documented the complaint.
A dog that runs at large on Cedar Beach Road was found running at large on Shotgun Alley. Officers returned it to the owner and gave her a verbal warning.
At 9 p.m. an out-of-town caller asked for a welfare check on a friend just released from a hospital. An officer advised the caller of options.

Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 8:17 a.m., 10:49 a.m., 11:34 a.m., 12:25 p.m., 3:02 p.m. and 7:07 p.m. Wednesday, and 3:47 a.m. today.

Kevin See, 30, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of violating probation on a September 2019 charge of assault in the third degree.
In Court
Emily D. Peck, 45, of Santaquin, Utah, on a January 16 charge of harassment in the second degree, physical contact, was sentenced Wednesday to 90 days, suspended, and fined $1,000, suspended. She was ordered to obtain an integrated behavioral health assessment and follow recommendations, and was placed on probation for one year. The offense is a class B misdemeanor.
Mark Franklin Davis, 52, on a March 6 charge of assault in the fourth degree, recklessly injure, was sentenced Wednesday to 90 days with all but the time served suspended, and fined $500, suspended. He was placed on probation for one year.
Peggy Sue Lindberg, 51, on an Oct. 14, 2021, charge of harassment in the second degree, offensive physical contact, a class B misdemeanor, was sentenced to 30 days, suspended, and is to obtain an integrated behavioral health assessment and follow recommendations. An April 18, 2020, class B misdemeanor charge of violating conditions of release; and a class A misdemeanor charge of misconduct involving a controlled substance in the fifth degree were considered convictions of record, and no jail time or fines were imposed. Charges of violating conditions of release for a felony; misconduct involving a weapon in the fifth degree, and two charges of violating conditions of release were dismissed by the prosecution.
