The following calls were logged as of 8 a.m. today.
May 11
At 12:51 a.m. a sexual assault was reported on Lance Drive. A police investigation is underway.
At 7:12 a.m. training involving the city emergency response vessel was begun at Thomsen Harbor.
At 1:13 p.m. 2x4s were reported on the O’Connell Bridge roadway. Officers removed them.
A fender bender was reported in the 300 block of Lincoln Street. Drivers were given report forms.
A car hit a neighbor’s vehicle in a residential area, causing damage.
May 12
A caller reported a bartender at a downtown bar was intoxicated. Police determined he was not.
A car with its dome light on was reported at Totem Square.

Sitka Fire Department received two ambulance calls Thursday and one early this morning.
Wildlife Troopers
William Grant, 52, of Sitka, was cited by wildlife troopers for unlawful storage of commercial Dungeness crab gear in November 2022. Grant, a permit holder, left pots in the water for more than 72 hours after a portion of Registration Area A had closed, troopers said.
