Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today.

May 12

At 12:05 a.m. an incidence of drunkenness was reported in the 400 block of Katlian Street.

At 1:07 a.m. a disturbance was reported at apartments in the 200 block of Lincoln Street. Some damage was reported but no one wished to press charges.

At 5:25 a.m. a noise complaint was called in from the 2100 block of HPR.

At 8:16 a.m. a possible boating accident was reported after a boat was spotted adrift near the airport runway. However, a person was found to be aboard, and no problem was perceived.

At 9:34 a.m. a theft was reported on Kaagwaantaan Street.

Parking problems were reported at the Castle Hill parking lot and Crescent Harbor.

A citizen assist was logged at 11:33 a.m. at the O’Connell Bridge.

At 12:15 p.m. a caller at Sealing Cove reported being harassed. He declined to give his name.

A problem with a juvenile was reported in the 2300 block of HPR.

At 6 p.m. juveniles were reported to have climbed onto the roof of a store in the 300 block of Lincoln Street. They were gone when a fire crew arrived. The juvenile probation officer was called.

At 7:38 p.m. a bear was reported at the Starrigavan campgrounds, on the water side.

At 9:18 p.m. a security check was requested on Merrill Street.

A citizen assist was logged at a downtown bar at 10:54 p.m.

At 11:19 p.m. suspicious activity was reported on Back Beach.

At 11:49 p.m. a bear was reported in the 200 block of Cascade Creek Road.

 

Sitka Police

David Skultka, 38, was charged Wednesday with two counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance in the fourth degree and violating conditions of release.

 

Emergency  Calls

Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 1:32 p.m., 2:31 p.m. and 7:24 p.mn. Wednesday.

At 6:13 p.m. a fire crew was called to the 300 block of Lincoln Street where juveniles had climbed onto the roof of a store. The kids were gone when the crew arrived.
