Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today.

May 17

At 7:37 a.m. a welfare check was requested in the 1700 block of HPR.

At 10:18 a.m. an animal call came in from the 700 block of Lake Street.

At 10:38 a.m. a report of a theft came in from the 2300 block of HPR.

At 12:01 p.m. a caller in the 1600 block of SMC complained cats were howling near her home at 3 a.m., keeping her awake.

A welfare check was requested at 2:20 p.m. in the Thimbleberry parking lot.

Drunkenness was reported in the 2300 block of HPR at 2:28 p.m.

An agency assist was logged on Anna Drive at 2:32 p.m.

At 2:46 p.m. police attempted to serve a warrant but the person named was not on the premises.

An agency assist was logged on Sharon Drive at 3:22 p.m.

At 11:34 p.m. a bear was reported on Rudolph Walton Drive. At 12:58 a.m. today it was reported back in the area.

Sitka Fire Department received three ambulance calls Monday.
