Volunteers Needed
Dear Editor: the White Elephant Shop needs more volunteers, especially now. This time of year many of our regular volunteers take time off to travel, to enjoy time with visitors, etc. There are a variety of jobs that must be done to keep our shop running. Volunteering needn’t be a long-term, time-consuming position. A volunteer can work on a weekly, monthly or ‘‘on-call’ basis for as many or as few hours as he or she wants:
Unfortunately I was forced to close the children’s store at the White Elephant last Saturday because of a shortage of volunteers. I apologize for the inconvenience experienced by our customers.

Staff Party Thanks
Dear Editor: Thank you, Bayview Pub, our end-of-the-year staff party was wonderful. Great food and games were enjoyed by all, and we really appreciated the friendly staff and service. Thank you for hosting our party this year.
