Police Blotter
Police received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today:
May 20
At 2:46 a.m. suspicious activity was reported at the hospital.
An animal problem was reported at 10:31 a.m. in the 400 block of Marine Street.
A parking problem was reported in the 100 block of Lincoln Street at 11:12 a.m.
An agency reported an assault at 11:52 a.m.
At 3 p.m. suspicious activity was reported in the 200 block of Monastery Street.
A fraud was reported in the 200 block of Lake Street.
Officers performed two civil standbys, one on Wolff Drive and one at a facility.
A traffic complaint came in at 6:50 p.m. from the 4600 block of HPR.
May 21
A disturbance was reported at 12:13 a.m. from an HPR trailer court.
At 3:13 a.m. a disturbance was reported in the 700 block of Lincoln Street.
Sitka Police
Rebecca Culbertson, 38, was arrested early today on a warrant for failure to appear for arraignment.
Chad Payant, 41, was charged Wednesday with two counts of assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence, and one count of violation of a domestic violence order.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 6:21 p.m. Wednesday and 3:22 a.m. today.
