Dear Editor: Thank you to everyone at SEARHC Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center, from the ER to the ICU, and then hospice, nurses, doctors, nutritionist and all those who made a peaceful passing of my wonderful husband Charlie.
We both felt the concern and care that made his passable bearable. Also, a heartfelt thank you to all his family and friends who visited to tell stories and share in laughter and tears. It meant so much to us both. Thank you for sending him off in the best way possible.

Dear Editor: Sitka Babies and Books would like to thank the Sitka Woman’s Club for their recent donation through their mini-grant program.
Founded in 1991, Sitka Babies and Books encourages Sitka children to become lifelong readers by providing books and programs for them and for their parents.
Monthly programs are presented at the library which encourage parent participation and explore not only books, but art, music, dance, sensory integration, rhythm, and play. And at each one of these, the children in attendance receive a book related to the activity. We would not be able to buy all of these books, which we do locally, if it were not for the generosity of groups like the Sitka Woman’s Club. Thank you.
