Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.
May 23
At 10:10 a.m. a man under the bridge spoke to police about health issues. He was taken to the hospital.
At 10:50 a.m. a car was reported to have gone into a ditch on the Nelson Logging Road. The two occupants, who were from out of town, were uninjured and their rental car was undamaged. The car was pulled out of the ditch and the visitors drove off.
A protective order was received and is to be served.
A woman talked to police about a case she’s involved in and harassment. She was advised of her options.
A black Lab was reported in the roadway in the 2400 block of SMC. The animal control officer searched for the dog but didn’t find it.
A woman said her soon-to-be ex was trashing her home. She was advised of her options.
At 8 p.m. public works reported a vehicle that didn’t belong there was parked in the area.
At 11 p.m. a vehicle was reported parked at the Kimsham ball field. An officer found it was unoccupied.
May 24
At 6:48 a.m. a SMC business reported a credit card had been stolen and was being used.

A charge of driving under the influence filed against Trevor Dalton, 24, was dismissed without prejudice by the prosecuting attorney today.
