The following calls were logged as of 8 a.m. today.
May 23
At 11:22 a.m. a verbal confrontation between a child and a guardian was reported at a business in the 1800 block of HPR. Police opened a case on the incident.
At 1:50 p.m. a two-car traffic accident was reported on Smith Street. The accident happened on private property so those involved were given self-report forms.
At 4:12 p.m. a downtown Lincoln Street business reported shoplifting. Police are investigating.
At 6:34 p.m. a caller reported a man appeared to be breaking into a building in the 1200 block of SMC. Police found the man was authorized to be there.
A man talked to police in the station lobby about being threatened by another man. He was advised of options.
At 11:03 p.m. a man was reported passed out on Baranof Street. He was taken to the hospital.
At 11:19 p.m. a man was reported passed out on Biorka Street. He refused to go to the hospital.
May 24
At 4:24 a.m. a man was reported causing a disturbance at the hospital. The hospital wanted him to leave, and he left.
At 7:54 a.m. a caller reported being behind an erratic driver in the 1500 block of SMC. The driver’s license was revoked.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received five ambulance calls Tuesday.
Wildlife Troopers
David W. Clark, 65, of Sitka was fined $220 on a citation for failing to display a “D” on his vessel while engaged in the commercial dinglebar troll fishery on May 22, troopers said.
