Chamber Luncheon
Dear Editor: We would like to say thank you for the Sentinel article regarding our presentation to the Chamber luncheon on Wednesday about the 2015 Alaska Math Science Conference that will be coming to Sitka in October. We appreciated the coverage that you provided.
We would like to recognize that there was a third presenter, Rebecca Himshoot, who teaches science at Keet Gooshi Heen. She is one of our science co-leaders and was instrumental in the planning, organizing and sharing of information about our conference to the Chamber. Our presentation would not have been as successful without Rebecca’s assistance.

100 Volunteer Day
Dear Editor: The annual Sitka Fine Arts Camp 100 Volunteer Day took place on Saturday, May 9. Thanks to the generosity of Sea Mart and the Hames family, our hardworking volunteers were treated to a hearty lunch of hot dogs on the grill and tasty chili, served with a smile!
The ongoing support of the Hames Corporation for our programs, special events, and campus improvement efforts has been most appreciated, and the sense of community cooperation it encourages is a gift to us all.
