Eighth Grade Picnic
Dear Editor: The Blatchley eighth- grade team of teachers would like to thank all of the parents who organized and helped with the eighth-grade picnic this year.
In particular, we would like to thank Yvonne Christner for organizing the picnic, Erin Oliphant, Amy Johnson, Amy Danielson, JoElla Swanson, Barbara Webb, and the many others who contributed their time and donations of food and snacks. Bill Grant, thank you for the gigantic drink coolers! Thank you, Kelly Pellett, for shooting off fireworks at the end of the picnic (with park permission, of course); although incendiary devices are banned from school functions, it was a happy coincidence that you happened to be there at the exact right time to send off the eighth-graders in style.
