St. Michael’s Benefit
Dear Editor: Thank you to all those who helped make the dance fundraiser for St. Michael’s Cathedral a success! Together we raised $1,656 toward St. Michael’s Cathedral repairs. We would like to thank the Sitka Studio of Dance, the Naa Kahidi Dancers, and the New Archangel Dancers as well as the wonderful audience members who gave generously and came to the event on such a sunny evening.
A special thank you to White’s Pharmacy and Harry’s Pharmacy for donating toward the performance venue and for Rachel Kirby for donating her beautiful photo of St. Michael’s Cathedral for the tickets.

Extending Gratitude
Dear Editor: Elks wholeheartedly thank Mick Tisher, Tisher Construction boom truck, Public Works Superintendent Harry Greene – supervision, U.S. Coast Guard Chief Tom Logan and his diligent crew who refurbished, painted and polished our flagpole by Memorial Day.
It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag.
