The following calls were recorded as of 8 a.m. today.

May 4

At 8:29 a.m. a taxi driver was reported being aggressive toward another driver, in the 700 block of HPR.

A resident in the Indian River subdivision asked that a person be trespassed from the home.

A cell phone found at Crescent Harbor was returned to its owner.

A child, not from Sitka, was reported to have run away from a foster home here. The child was found and returned to the home.

May 5

At 8:05 a.m. a man was reported sleeping outside in the 100 block of Lincoln Street. Police found he was able to care for himself.

 

Emergency Calls

On Thursday, Sitka Fire Department received three ambulance calls and one false alarm at Hames Center, where a box alarm was accidentally triggered.

Deanne L. Kubik, 57, was charged Thursday with hindering prosecution in the first degree.
