Path of Hope Cleanup
Dear Editor: On behalf of the Sitka Cancer Survivors Society Board, we wish to thank all the AmeriCorps volunteers and other willing volunteers for the awesome cleanup project at the Path of Hope Park this past Saturday, May 1. The big project was headed up by Sarah Lawrie. They worked so hard, and with smiling, happy faces! We were also able to share the history of the park with these young volunteers.
The volunteers were supervised by Sarah, Susan Padilla, Steve Lawrie, and Bobbi and Dennis Carlson.
The boards and some Sitka Emblem Club members were able to help by supplying yummy treats, and various snacks, for the volunteers. Sitka Realty provided the cases of water.
Again, thanks to all for a great day and making our park so beautiful. Again, a BIG THANKS for all who care and support the Path Of Hope Park. Come check it out on Lower Moller Field.
