MEHS Reports Pool Close

    The Mt. Edgecumbe Aquatic Center is closed for all public, instructional, and recreational swimming until further notice, Mt. Edgecumbe Academic Principal Bernie Gurule announced today.
    “The temporary closure is prompted by our school’s and the Sitka community’s concern regarding the COVID-19 virus,” Gurule said in an email.
    The outbreak has caused cancellation of sporting activities worldwide, from NCAA March Madness to the ASAA State Basketball and Cheer Championship.
