Mt. Edgecumbe Beats Huskies

Mt. Edgecumbe High basketball teams scored lopsided wins against the Redington Huskies. The Braves won 67-31 and the Lady Braves beat Redington 59-16.

Also Wednesday, Klawock’s boys beat Hoonah 70-45; Skagway earned a 60-53 victory against Hydaburg; and Yakutat toppled Angoon 48-36 in the opening round of the 1A basketball tournament Wednesday at Edgecumbe.

On the girls side, Skagway beat Kake 38-30. The large tournament continues today through Saturday.
