Dear Editor: Yesterday, an ICE agent killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good during an ICE operation in Minneapolis. While Trump described Ms. Good as “very disorderly, obstructing and resisting,” video footage, bystanders, and elected officials contradict that claim.
ICE militia in our cities and bombs over Venezuela are about billionaires making themselves richer, no matter what the human cost.
As part of a National Day of Action prompted by this week’s Trump travesties, Sitkans for Peace and Democracy will expand the focus of Saturday’s vigil to demand an end to the Venezuelan occupation, and the removal of ICE agents from our communities. We will gather Saturday, Jan. 10, noon to 1 p.m., at the roundabout. Please join us!
