Dear Editor: Usually I am a grumpy old man. But I was magnificently de-grumped Tuesday evening at the Writers Read. The courage and bravery displayed by the young adults who presented their work made me want to weep.
    Congratulations to all who were involved in this project. Special thanks to the Island Institute and their Rasmuson Foundation Artist-in-Residence Marjorie Sa’adah who spearheaded the event.
     An effort to continue this type of work was proposed at the meeting. Let’s hope it can be realized so my grumpiness can continue to be assuaged.
