Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.

November 15

At 8:34 a.m. a vehicle was reported to have slid out of a parking space in the 600 block of Lake Street. No damage resulted.

Parking enforcement was logged on Price Street and Eliason Harbor.

At 2:57 p.m. a caller said a vehicle parked on the old Airport Road might have someone sleeping in it. Officers did not find a vehicle matching the description.

At 4:19 p.m. a caller reported a bear was in the 300 block of Peterson Street. It was gone when officers arrived.

At 6:24 p.m. a dog was reported running at large in the HPR-Brady Street area. The animal control officer was advised.

At 7:18 p.m. a miscommunication arose over parking at the airport parking lot. The Alaska Department of Transportation is responsible for the parking lot.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received four ambulance calls Monday.
