Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today.

November 16

Between 12:58 a.m. and 1:20 a.m. five bear calls came in from Lance Drive.

At 10:27 a.m. citizen contact was made at a downtown bar.

Littering was reported on First Street at 11:22 a.m.

At 5:09 p.m. a traffic complaint was reported at HPR and Bahovec Street.

November 17

A bear was reported at 1937 Dodge Circle at 1:21 a.m.

Citizen contact was made at 2:06 a.m. on Furuhelm Street.

At 2:35 a.m. suspicious activity was reported on Siginaka Way.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received two ambulance calls Monday.

At 4:50 p.m. steam coming from a dryer in a home in the 2700 block of HPR was mistaken for smoke, and both the fire department and police responded. No fire or damage resulted.
