Home Health Forum
Dear Editor: Wednesday night I attended the forum regarding the closure of SEARHC’s Home Health, hosted by the Sitka Woman’s Club.
I asked to see the study done that enabled SEARHC to end the much-needed Home Health care. Because no one was represented from SEARHC, there was no answers.
I now ask SEARHC to publish this study. Also, please inform us of your home care with more clarity.

Homeless Connect
Dear Editor: Sitka Outreach and Support: Lifeline Group would like to thank the many people who supported the 2023 Fall Project Homeless Connect.
A big thank you to all those who donated warm clothing, socks, jackets, hats and gloves, sleeping bags and so many other things and to several people who donated funds so that specific items could be purchased.
Also thank you to LFS Marine Supplies and ACE Hardware for the many useful items they donated that were so well received. We are so grateful to the volunteers who helped the event possible. Thank you to the organizations who came to offer services, Southeast Alaska Regional Health Corporation, University of Alaska Southeast, Southeast Alaska Independent Living, St. Peter’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, United Methodist Church of Sitka, and the Homeless Coalition.
And the biggest thanks to the staff at the Harrigan Centennial Hall for all their help and kindness. There are many people who are homeless in Sitka today. If you can help, contact the Salvation Army, SAIL, the Homeless Coalition, or Sitka Outreach and Support: Lifeline Group. Thank you, Sitka, for caring.

Benefit Garage Sale
Dear Editor: Thank you to all who helped with the annual Sitka Pregnancy Center fundraiser garage sale. From donators, to setter-uppers, to shoppers, you are all very much appreciated.
Besides being such a lot of fun, the proceeds raised will allow us to provide diapers, wipes, clothing, furniture, educational materials, and many other needed items for our Sitka families. Thank you. Looking forward to next year.
