Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.

November 17

At 8 a.m. a caller reported a driver on SMC didn’t have headlights on.

A driver reported his vehicle, parked at Centennial Hall, had been struck while he was out fishing.

A dog running at large in the 500 block of Monastery was taken to the animal shelter. Its owner called later and was told where the dog was.

At 3:41 p.m. a dog was reported to be running at large in the Gil Truitt Court area. Officers were unable to locate it.

At 4:18 p.m. police assisted in serving a subpoena from Juneau.

At 6:06 p.m. a Juneau caller asked for a welfare check on his mother and sister. Police determined they were OK.

At 8:27 p.m. an intoxicated man was reported harassing customers at a business in the 1300 block of SMC. He was taken to the home of a relative.

At 10:16 p.m. a man and a woman were reported yelling at each other on DeArmond Street. They were gone when officers arrived.

At 11 p.m. a caller on DeGroff Street said it appeared a white German shepherd was lying dead in the yard. Officers did not locate the dog.

At 11:49 p.m. a caller said an apparently intoxicated man was crawling on the ground between a business and storage containers in the 1200 block of SMC. Officers did not locate the man.

November 18

At 1:38 a.m. a dog was reported lost on Dodge Circle. At 8:30 a.m. the owner reported the dog had returned home.

At 2:53 a.m. a caller in the 3200 block of HPR reported an unknown man was knocking on her door. Officers were unable to find the man.

 

Sitka Police

Vaughn Dalton, 26, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for a probation violation.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received two ambulance calls Wednesday.
